Ten Questions to Ask Your Wedding Venue (and How Terrace 167 Answers Them)
Choosing the perfect wedding venue is one of the biggest decisions you’ll make while planning your celebration. From availability to catering policies, there’s a lot to consider before signing a contract. To make it easier, we’ve put together the top 10 questions every couple should ask their wedding venue — along with how Terrace 167 answers each one.
Is my preferred date available?
Saturdays in Wisconsin book quickly — often 12–24 months in advance. At Terrace 167, we’ll help you explore Saturdays, Fridays, Sundays and weekdays so you can celebrate on a date that’s meaningful to you.
What is included in the rental fee?
Some venues charge extra for the basics. At Terrace 167, your rental includes farmhouse tables, chairs, whiskey barrel cocktail tables, Bridal Suite and Groomsmen Lounge, Event Managers, Bartenders (1 for every 50 guests), Venue Assistants, Venue Decor, Overnight parking, 3 large screen TV's, access to both our indoor and outdoor spaces and much more!
Do you have on-site catering, or can we bring in outside vendors?
Many Milwaukee venues require in-house catering. At Terrace 167, you can choose your own licensed caterer from our Preferred Caterer's list — giving you complete flexibility with menu, pricing, and style.
How many guests can the space comfortably hold?
Make sure the venue fits your guest list. Terrace 167 can host up to 350 guests for a seated dinner, while still maintaining an intimate feel for smaller weddings.
What’s the backup plan for weather?
Wisconsin weather is unpredictable! Terrace 167 offers both indoor and outdoor ceremony options, with a seamless transition plan in case of rain.
Are there noise or time restrictions?
Some Milwaukee-area venues have early curfews. At Terrace 167, your celebration can go until midnight, giving you plenty of time to dance the night away.
What are the bar options?
Bar service can vary widely between venues. At Terrace 167, we offer hosted, cash, or hybrid bar packages — all served from our 2 large rustic, built-in bars that complement the industrial-rustic vibe.
Is there parking or shuttle service available?
Guest convenience matters. Terrace 167 offers plenty of free on-site overnight parking, and we offer in-house shuttle services.
What’s the deposit, payment schedule, and cancellation policy?
Every venue handles this differently. At Terrace 167, we are transparent: a non-refundable, 50% Rental reservation fee secures your date, and a clear payment schedule so you can plan stress-free.
Do you have preferred vendors or recommended local partners?
It’s a huge help when vendors know the space. Terrace 167 has a trusted list of photographers, DJs, caterers, and florists who are familiar with our venue — making your day run even smoother.
